Unfulfilled
By: Fresh The Poet
I try to lead everyone I love to water
Excuse my frustration if they don’t drink
I may not have what’s best for them,
but what they want I try to bring.
Offering a lifeboat
meanwhile my ship would sink.
Drowning uncontrollably.
Hoping they would notice me.
It’s hard to fill from a cup that is empty
Lord forgive me.
I just put people before me sometimes.
That’s how you built me,
but why does the way I love
make me feel guilty?
Often, I feel silly.
Often feeling
-Is unfulfilling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Q. Does Regal Rhythms Poetry only publish authors who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC).
A. Absolutely not. Although our main focus is to create cultural inclusion in publishing, increase the representation of
Black voices, and make BIPOC stories more available within the community, unlocking marginalized voices is part
of our mission as well. Our company's definition of marginalized is very broad! It includes ANYONE who has been
silenced including those who have faced mental illness, substance abuse, unable to speak about their nonbinary,
gender identification, sexual orientation, or has faced racism, discrimination, antisemetism, or wrongful treatment
due to race, color, national orgin, sex, religion, or disability and chronic illness.
2. Q. Does Regal Rhythms Poetry keep any of the royalties?
A. No, 100% of the royalties belong to and are distributed to the author through the distributor either by check every
three months, or directly into a Paypal monthly.
3.Q.How will I claim the taxes on my royalties?
A. The distributor will mail each author a 1099-MISC at the end of the year for anyone who sells over $10.
Each author will have to turn that form into their tax professional, or if they are filing taxes themselves this
income must be claimed.
4. Q. How are royalties calculated?
A. Royalties are calculated by taking the author's book selling price less the cost of print cost and distribution fees
charged by the distributor. These fees are NOT charged by Regal Rhythms Poetry.
For example: A $9.99 book sold within the US has approximately $3.23 print cost and distribution fee.
The author's royalties would be $6.76. *This price may vary depending on the number of pages and actual
print cost and distribution fee. However, the author is able to increase their selling price to allow for a
higher payout.
5.Q. Are there any hidden publishing costs?
A. Regal Rhythms Poetry's publishing package includes the cost of ISBNs, barcode, professional formatting, editing,
copyrighting, and uploading to the publishing software. The only additional out of pocket costs incurred which
is spelled out in the publishing contract and paid directly to the distributor is the cost of the manuscript
proof. Every book published must have a proof ordered, received and approved by the author, before it can
be accepted under the publishing website so the book can be made available online for distribution.
The typical fee for the proof is approximately $20.
6.Q. Will I need a different type of ISBN for international sales?
A. No, ISBN numbers can only be purchased in the US and will allow for international sales.
